Dr. Tammy Chong earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior and a minor in Psychology from the University of California, Davis. She went on to obtain a Doctor of Optometry degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA, where she graduated with honors and a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa optometric honor society. While in school, she was elected to lifetime membership in the Gold Key international optometric honor society by her peers for her leadership and dedication to serving others.

Dr. Chong’s optometric training focused on ocular disease and was done at various locations including Los Angeles Christian Health Center in downtown Los Angeles, the Veterans Affairs hospital in Tulsa, OK, the Indian Health Service in Bishop, CA, and a private practice in Cincinnati, OH. Dr. Chong is certified to use therapeutic pharmaceutical agents and is trained in management of diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and chronic dry eye condition. She is experienced in contact lens fittings including soft contact lenses for myopia management and multifocal/monovision soft contact lenses.

When she is not in the clinic helping patients obtain their best vision, you can catch her rock climbing with friends, backpacking in the Eastern Sierras, painting one of her many projects, or cooking up some recipes to share with friends and family.
