Dr. De Leon earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry, graduating magna cum laude. Before her optometry training, she completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology at California State University, Los Angeles. Her clinical training included invaluable experience at the Veterans Affairs Southern Nevada Healthcare System, the University Eye Center at Ketchum Health, Azul Vision, and various community health centers, such as Family Health Matters in Anaheim and the South-Central Family Health Center in downtown LA where she provided eye exams for underserved populations.
After a rewarding clinical rotation caring for veterans at the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare, Dr. De Leon returned to the VA to pursue a residency in ocular disease, considering it a privilege to give back to the veterans who have served our country.
